So klingt das Ganze aus Sicht der Air France: --------------
We have secured the support
of the French State in the form of a 7 billion-euro loan guarantee, allowing Air France to look to the
future with confidence. I would like to use this opportunity to clarify the commitments we have
undertaken with regard to this loan :
1. A reconstruction plan that puts Air France on a par
with the best-performing global airlines in terms of competitiveness. 2. A swifter implementation of
our commitments to realizing the air transport sector’s energy transition, which notably include : -
A global resizing of our domestic network on departure from Orly and the French regions, taking into
account rail transport alternatives for trips of less than 2hr30. - Prioritizing our investments in
fleet renewal by investing in new-generation aircraft that reduce CO2 emissions at source by 20% to
25%. - Confirmation of our objective of reducing our CO2 emissions per passenger/km throughout our
network by 50% by 2030, compared with the reference year 2005. On the domestic network, we are
accelerating this process as part of our commitment to decrease CO2 emissions by 50% in absolute value,
between 2019 and 2024. - Incorporation of up to 2% of alternative sustainable fuel by 2025,
supported by the emergence of a French biofuel production sector.
